Saudi Arabian football powerhouse Public Investment Fund continues to plan long-term to bring in Vinicius Junior to help elevate the Saudi Pro League in the future.

According to sources, the Public Investment Fund (PIF) first contacted Vinicius’ representatives last summer and held talks again last month. With the Brazilian forward not ruling out an offer, but no offer has been made to Real Madrid.

The talks were aim at assessing Vinicius’s direction and keeping the relationship going, with no further progress made. However, PIF is fully confident that this major move will happen sooner rather than later.

Vinicius is currently contract to Real Madrid until 2027 and has a release clause of €1 billion. With the contract signed on October 31, 2023.

Vinicius himself has publicly express his desire to stay at Real Madrid, reinforcing the idea that he is fully committed to the club and its ambitions. During his acceptance speech for the Best FIFA Men’s Player award in December 2024. Vinicius spoke of his love for Madrid and his intent to remain at the club for the foreseeable future. With his contract running until 2027, the Brazilian forward’s future at Madrid appears secure, at least for the time being.
