Former Arsenal midfielder Gilberto Silva believes Martin Odegaard and Bukayo Saka were good enough to be in Arsene Wenger’s Invincibles squad in 2003/04.
The former Brazil midfielder made 32 appearances in the 2003/04 season, when the Gunners won the Premier League title, going unbeaten the entire season, scoring four goals and providing four assists, becoming a key figure in Arsene Wenger’s side.

With only Saka and Odegaard selected as the two current players, the back four will be Laurent, Kolo Toure, Sol Campbell and Ashley Cole. But when asked about the highly-rated William Saliba, Gilberto said: “I like Saliba, but I also like Gabriel.”
“That’s probably where I’ll change – bring in Kolo (Toure) as my assistant and Gabriel with Sol Campbell.”
For Gilberto to include Saka and Odegaard alongside legends like Henry, Pires, and Vieira says a lot about the quality of the two and also speaks volumes about how far this Arsenal side has developed under Mikel Arteta.
